Photo Gallery: Pianos on the Move
This photo gallery shows the everyday work of moving pianos: grands wrapped and skidded, uprights secured on the trolley, and organs ready for the truck. Every job is carried out by a team of three of our own full-time piano removalists.
What the Photo Gallery Shows
- Grand pianos: legs and pedal lyre removed, the body turned on its side and strapped to a padded skid.
- Upright pianos: wrapped in heavy blankets and kept upright on a piano trolley.
- Organs: loose parts packed separately and the organ wrapped before loading.
- Loading: a 1-tonne wide platform hydraulic tail lift into a fully enclosed, waterproof truck.
We have been moving pianos for more than 20 years and are fully insured from pick-up to final placement. To learn more about the instruments themselves, see the piano article on Wikipedia.
