Piano Removals Blue Mountains

Glenbrook, Springwood, Leura, Katoomba – Fully Insured

Moving a piano up, down or around the Blue Mountains?

Up the Mountains, Carefully

The drive up the Great Western Highway is long and climbing, so the piano is strapped firmly in a fully enclosed truck before it leaves the kerb. Whether it is going up from Sydney or coming down from Katoomba, one crew handles it from start to finish.

Sloping Blocks and Long Paths

Many mountain homes sit on sloping bush blocks, with long garden paths, timber steps and decks between the front door and the street. We ask about each of them in advance, so the crew knows exactly where the piano will travel.

Full-Time Piano Removalists

Moving pianos is our everyday work, Monday to Saturday, for more than 20 years. Every job has a team of three of our own staff, so there is always someone guiding while two people control the load.

Fully Insured, Price Agreed First

We are fully insured for your piano and your property, both while it is being removed and on the road. Insurance is included, and the fixed cost quote you accept is what you pay.

✔️ Piano Removals Blue Mountains: How We Do It

Cooler, Damper Air

Mountain air is cooler and often damper than Sydney's, and a piano reacts to the change. Give it two to four weeks to settle in its new room, then book a local tuner. We do not tune pianos ourselves.

Enclosed and Waterproof

Mist and rain are common up here. Our truck body is fully enclosed and waterproof, and the piano is wrapped in heavy blankets from the room to the tail lift and back again.

Grand Pianos on the Hill

A grand piano is turned on its side on a padded skid, with its legs and lyre removed, which makes long paths and tight decks manageable. It is reassembled and levelled when it arrives.

Older Pianos and Pianolas

Older instruments and pianolas often have dried glue joints, loose veneer or tired castors. We secure the case before it moves and never lift it by the keybed or music desk.

Storage If You Need It

Renovating, or between houses? We offer short and long term piano storage, and deliver to your mountain home when it is ready.

Removing an Unwanted Piano

An unwanted piano is just as heavy on a sloping block. We remove and dispose of old pianos, and they are dismantled and recycled.

Blue Mountains Piano Moving Questions

Do you come all the way to Katoomba and Blackheath?

Yes, we cover the Blue Mountains towns listed on this page and moves between the mountains and Sydney. Call us about anywhere further west.

Is a steep or long path a problem?

Not if we know about it beforehand. Tell us about steps, slopes and the distance from the street, and we plan the route and equipment.

What affects the cost?

The type of piano, the distance and the access at both ends. Every quote is a fixed cost with insurance included.
